The purpose of eddelirium.org is to educate health care providers about delirium, and its detection and management in older patients outside the intensive care unit. The website will also serve as a means to update you on new delirium research. While the content of this website is tailored for the emergency department setting, the information provided may be generalized to older patients who are admitted to the hospital.

The website content is created by Dr. Jin Han. He is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, the Associate Research Director of the Center for Quality Aging, and an investigator for the ICU Delirium and Cognitive Impairment Study Group at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is an emergency physician and delirium researcher with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and has written over 10 book chapters or review articles. He has received research funding from the Vanderbilt Physician Scientist Development program, Emergency Medicine Foundation, and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. He also received a National Institute on Aging K23 award that validated the Brief Confusion Assessment Method and the Delirium Triage Screen in older emergency department patients.
